Vacation Care and OOSH Experience

WHAT IS IT?

One of our presenters who lives with a disability will come out to your Vacation Care program or OOSH and conduct games of Wheelchair Basketball or Wheelchair AFL with the participants. This provides the children and educators a chance to experience something new, raise disability awareness amongst peers, as well as leaving participants with an idea of what it is like to be in a wheelchair, and most of all, everyone will have loads of fun!

WHERE?

We’ll come to you! Just make sure you have an accessible basketball court, multipurpose area, or quadrangle.

TAMWORTH PROVIDERS: Our experiences are held at the Tamworth Dome. Perfect for excursions or vacation care program experiences. Please ring Catherine on 0429 922 108 to discuss availability

SESSION SIZE?

We recommend maximum groups of 20-25 per one hour session as this maximises the time the participants can experience playing sport in a wheelchair. We bring 10 wheelchairs with us on the day. If you have more than 25 students per session, please email us to discuss other options for your vacation care or OOSH.

TOTAL SESSION TIME?

Each session is one hour, with a minimum booking of three hours on site, (for example - 2 sessions would equal 3 hours on site including set up and pack up time). We offer morning sessions between 9am-12pm as well as afternoon sessions between 1pm-4pm during school holidays, and between 3pm - 6pm for after school care. Teacher supervision is compulsory at all times. 

PRICE

We charge for hours on site, 30 minute bump in and 30 minute bump out aren't included in the charge, with a minimum charge of $550 + GST. PLEASE NOTE: If paying your invoice by credit card a 1.8% credit card surcharge is added. 

2 hour experience (3 hours on site) $550 (+ GST)

3 hour experience (4 hours on site) $700 (+ GST)

4 hour experience (5 hours on site) $850 (+ GST)

5 hour experience (6 hours on site) $1,000 (+ GST)

6 hour experience (7 hours on site) $1,150 (+ GST)

Example: if your first session starts at 9am and last session finishes at 12pm, you will be charged from 8.30am-12.30pm which would be $700 + GST.

If a school/program is more than 100km from Ryde, Newcastle, Albury, Coffs Harbour and Tamworth a travel fee of $120 (+GST) will apply
