GIO 2018 IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championship

The Championship will be held from Sunday 5 August – Friday 10 August 2018 at the Quaycentre (formerly Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre) and the Genea Netball Centre at Sydney Olympic Park

The Championship is the first major international wheelchair rugby event since the Australian Wheelchair Rugby Team, The Steelers, became World Champions back in 2014, and as such, this is a wonderful spectator opportunity to support our current World Champions.

The event welcomes 12 teams from the world over including Canada, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Japan, Sweden, New Zealand, Ireland, Colombia, Poland and USA and of course Australia.

Wheelchair Sports NSW is a partner of the event and will be involved with delivery of general public wheelchair rugby opportunities and school attendance. If you would like to attend, you can book your tickets here: www.2018wrwc.com/tickets/  If you would like your school to attend, the school can book in here: www.2018wrwc.com/schools/ or contact Kathleen Nicholls schools@2018wrwc.com for more information.

The event website is www.2018wrwc.com for all event information.
