The Adaptive Lawn Bowls Festival 2024 allows players to participate in a competitive bowls tournament while creating a fun and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the sport of lawn bowls. All are invited to participate in or spectate this momentous event!
The Adaptive Lawn Bowls Festival 2024 features the first truly inclusive bowls tournament: bowlers of all disability types will be side-by-side, competing in the same tournament. This tournament will include the following events:
The Pairs event incorporates five Adaptive Categories:
- Bowlers with a Physical Disability
- Blind Bowlers
- Deaf Bowlers
- Bowlers with an Intellectual Disability
- Bowling Arm Bowlers
Players will have the opportunity to compete exclusively within their designated Adaptive Category.
Single entry, and random allocation of teams to allow fair competition.
Mixed Category Fours is a social event that allows players to compete alongside players of other disability types.
Tournament and dinner spots are limited.
Entry and meals are free for participating players & directors.
Auslan interpreters are provided for those with a hearing impairment.
