2024 GIO Summer Down Under Series - Wheelchair Track Meet Canberra

3 days of Elite Racing
This event will allow Australian athletes to compete against some of the world's best wheelchair racers on the world-renowned AIS track. The 2024 meet will be held over 3-days, maximising the opportunity for athletes to compete.

All welcome
The event is once again open to all wheelchair racing athletes and seated throwers, allowing developing and young athletes to compete and challenge themselves against strong competition.      Frame Running will not be included for the 2024 SDU.


Mentor Clinics
The popular mentor clinics will be back again in 2024, held at ES Marks track on Wednesday 24 January 2024. The clinics will feature a number of interesting and captivating presentations targeted at all athletes, no matter what stage of their career they are at. 

Accommodation
We have arranged accommodation at the AIS with single/twin share rooms available with meals included from 19-23 January 2024. Our staff will be staying at the Dickson Hotel. 

Airport transfers will be provided from Canberra Airport to the AIS on 19 January (and return on 23 January 2024)

If you arrive before the 19th of January you will have to arrange your own transport to your accommodation.

If booking your own accommodation, all athletes are advised to arrive in Canberra on the 19th January.

Register BEFORE 30th November to take advantage of the accommodation offers. For those who register after the 30th of November, please email WS NSW/ACT staff for accommodation recommendations.
