The Rolling Rainbow Sports Day is a day of celebrating LGBTQ+ inclusion in wheelchair sport. We will have a range of different wheelchair sports, including Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Tennis, and Wheelchair AFL.
It's a free, multi-sport day for members and allies of the rainbow community to come along, dress fun, let loose, and play some wheelchair sport. Everyone is welcome, here are the details:
Date: Sunday 26th November
Time: 10am-2pm
Venue: Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation, Narrabeen
Cost: FREE!
Ability: All abilities - the only ability you need is the ability to have fun!
No experience is necessary as there will be plenty of expert coaches on hand to teach the rules and skills required across the different sports. Please bring your own sport chair if you have one, otherwise we can provide one.
We encourage you to invite all family and friends. The venue is child friendly, however, please note that there are no change tables. There are accessible toilets and restrooms inside the facility right next to the courts we will be playing on.
There is ample parking, with numerous car parks close to the gymnasium and dining hall where our event will take place. Please see the map below for wayfinding. The red path leads to the two recommended car parks (circled). The venues highlighted in yellow will be our venues of use.
Please note that there will be photography throughout the event, but you may specify in your registration if you do not want your image to be shared.
NOTE: Our HER SPORT Spring Festival is the day before this event on the Saturday 25th November. We would love to see you at both events- You can register HERE for FREE!
