The Rollerhawks have defeated the Wheelkings 91-15 in front of a bumper home crowd to finish round 1 of 2014.

Tough to pick best players from the Rollerhawks as Coach Ettridge made the most of a deep bench and was repaid for his faith with nine Rollerhawks hitting the score sheet. Luke Pople was impressive as he has been all weekend, Brett Stibners wound back the clock in his best game of the round and Tim Markcrow was able to come off a few text book pick and rolls to tally a career high 10 points.

It was a tough last outing for the Wheelkings. They have the nucleus of a good team and if they can stick together and continue to work hard under new coach Troy Sachs there’s no doubt they’ll continue to improve. Young Anderson Parkers topped all Wheelkings scorers in his first ever round of the NWBL.
