The Junior Wheelies Christmas Camp is a multi-sports camp for junior wheelies aged 8-18 years with a physical disability. The purpose of this live-in style camp is to provide juniors with opportunities for personal development, enhanced social skills and sports skill development through team building activities with other participants, sports coaching clinics and social activities with peers. The camp is run by a team of dedicated WS NSW volunteers, with sports sessions run by a number of Sydney Academy of Sport Activity Instructors and elite WS NSW athletes and coaches.
Come ‘n’ Try Days
Junior Wheelies Come ‘n’ Try days are an opportunity for our junior members and their families to come and experience a whole range of sports offered by Wheelchair Sports NSW. By promoting an active healthy lifestyle in young generations, WS NSW aims to motivate and inspire children with a physical disability to participate and achieve in the sporting environment. Sports such as wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, goal-ball, table tennis, athletics and swimming are promoted and tried by our junior members and led by our WS NSW sport development officers and former wheelchair athletes. Come ‘n’ Try days are a great social outing for all our junior members with emphasis on meeting new people and making new friends as well as building social networks with other families.
