Country Cup 2017

Congratulations to our Regional Wheelchair Basketball players who converged on the Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen for the weekend 25-27 August. The tournament welcomed 9 teams and the largest number of participants in years, with a teams from Young and Albury joining for the first time in many years. The Invictus Australia team also joined us for the chance to hone their skills ahead of the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto Canada in September.

Thank you also to Don Perriman and Basketball Australia for conducting a classification course for NSW. 

The Country Cup is always a popular tournament for members from all over regional NSW (and even some Metro members), to come together, play basketball catch up on WS NSW information and programs. This year we were able to conduct an information session on NDIS presented by Peter Murray (from Spinal Cord Injuries Australia) and the annual Regional Forum, for our Volunteer Regional Coordinators.
